It has come to the attention of AWCISA that certain projects, mainly for Government Agencies require materials to be certified under the Code Mark Certification Scheme.

This can be problematical if your supplier has not undergone the accreditation process for the materials that you consider to be an alternative to the ones specified.

It is another reason to do your due diligence when pricing projects and ensure that if you are offering an alternative it has been accepted prior to signing the Contract.
