What is the history of AWCI?
The genesis of AWCI ANZ goes back to the 1940s where manufacturers of fibrous plaster products and installers formed various regional associations as a networking base. Plasterboard and other lining boards entered the marketplace, and the association changed focus accordingly.
Some 70 years later, AWCI has an active presence in every Australian state and throughout New Zealand. We are proud to be known as the premier industry group for the lining industry. This position allows us to act as a conduit between our members and industry leaders, and influence this vital building industry sector.
